GameFAQs is a gaming website that features FAQs, walkthroughs, reviews, message boards, and numerous other features for thousands of video games, including the Super Smash Bros. series.

Smashers usually use "GameFAQs" to refer exclusively to its message boards for Melee, Brawl, and SSB4, and the communities that grew around both. Although Smashboards eclipses these forums in popularity and membership, the GameFAQs boards still hold niche appeal, primarily for smashers who are interested in records and strategies for Stadium events, and those who are looking for a less organized, but friendly experience. In addition, some experienced players, including Mew2King, Gimpyfish, and Ally, used to frequent the boards. Viviff is a notable competitive player from Brawl on the SSB4 board.

Compendium of Smash Knowledge

Usually abbreviated as CoSK, the Compendium of Smash Knowledge is a stickied topic on the Melee board at GameFAQs that contains guides and statistics meant to help novices better understand the competitive community; despite being stickied and being one of the most visited topics on the Melee board, the guide is considered to be relatively outdated, with some incorrect information found in some posts.

Melee Back Mansion

During the days when the GameFAQs boards had more activity in them, the smasher Hylian formed the Melee Back Mansion in order to allow more esteemed smashers discuss the game. A take on the Melee Back Room of the Smash World Forums, the board was ultimately shut down shortly before the release of Brawl. Hylian later created a "Brawl Back Mansion" for the Brawl forums, but this forum was later closed down as well.
