Entei, along with [[Suicune]] and [[Raikou]], can be found in the Burned Tower's basement. Once the player awakens the legendary beast, the player can find Entei in the areas where wild Pokémon are found. Entei also makes an appearance in ''[[Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen]]''. Once the player completes a certain event on the Sevii Islands, then Entei will be roaming the wild if the player has chosen Bulbasaur as their starter. Entei can be transfered to ''[[Pokémon Diamond & Pearl]]'' through the use of the Pal Park.

A column of fire will surround Entei's body when it executes this attack. Any character caught in the column of fire, excluding the summoner, will take damage. The character is also forced towards the top of the screen when he/she gets caught in the column of fire. Entei is a legendary Pokémon so its appearance is rare.
