The Chozo Statues is obstacles in the Metroid universe, to be exact, in Metroid and Super Metroid. These are robots that has been shown to have the ability to go around. In both of the games, they cares weapon, and in the later, they even started to attack Samus adterwards. There was also one that helped Samus through a spiky path.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, a Chozo Statue is in the background of Brinstar. It mostly sits like it did in Metroid after Samus had taken the weapon, and also rarely goes a short distance like when det attacked Samus in Super Metroid. One also appears as a trophy.
