Link's Bombs

Link's bomb in Brawl

Link's Bomb a special item that only Link possesses. Link can pull out a bomb by pressing Down Special on all three Smash Bros. games.

The bomb can be thrown at other opponents where it will explode on impact. The character damaged by the bomb will take about 6% damage. If the bomb is dropped low enough, then other characters can pick it up and use it as an item. The bomb can also be caught by other characters. When the bomb is flashing red, that indicates that it is about to explode. If a bomb explodes on the character holding it then they will take small damage. As the bomb is an item, Link cannot use the move if he is already holding another item.

The bombs from Melee use graphics from Ocarina of Time. In Brawl, Link's bombs are from Twilight Princess. Toon Link's bombs are based off of their design from The Wind Waker.

Young and Toon Link's Bombs

This is a special item that only Young Link and Toon Link possess. Young Link and Toon Link can pull out a bomb by using their Down Special. Both bombs are very much like Link's, except for damage and range. Toon Link's bomb is a single hit, but Young Link's strikes multiple times. If timed correctly, Young Link can negate knockback from, say, a Bob-omb if the bomb is thrown down right as it is about to touch him.
