Azelf is one of the legendary psychic Pokémon found in Sinnoh, and is one of the legendary trio, along with [[Uxie]] and [[Mesprit]], that were believed to be born from the same egg. Azelf first appeared in [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl]] as well as [[Pokemon Platinum]]. Azelf is known as the Being of Willpower, so it sleeps at the bottom of Lake Valor to maintain a balance of peace. The title is reflected by its high attack stat.
