The Star Rod is a blunt weapon featured in all three of the current Super Smash Bros. titles. If it is just swung, it produces a decent amount of damage. However, if it is used in conjunction with a side smash attack, a star projectile will emanate from the tip and fly a short distance. A thrown Star Rod causes enemy players to rocket sideways.
