Lucario is the 448th Pokémon and is the evolved form of the Pokémon Riolu. Known as the "Aura Pokémon," it has the ability to sense the auras of all things, and can read their thoughts and movements from their aura. In the Pokémon franchise, Lucario is only attainable by hatching a Riolu from an egg, then evolving it. The egg is aquired after assisting a trainer named Riley on Iron Island. Lucario was also a central character in the eighth Pokémon movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. It appears in Brawl as an unlockable character.

Accidental Confirmation

On January 18th, 2008 an updated video at Wii.com was released that people have interpretted to mean that Nintendo accidentally confirmed it, Ness, and Jigglypuff to appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In the new Japanese trailer for the game on the time 4:20 and 4:21 images of stickers are shown, including Groudon, Claus, and Sonic. If paused on 4:20, immediately when Groudon is highlighted, the characters that the sticker can be attached to are shown as icons in the bottom right corner. It shows the icons of Pikachu, Pokémon Trainer, and what players have taken to be Lucario and Jigglypuff.
