Nope. Fangames have no purpose here. SmashWiki is not Fanon. Mr. AnonAnon.pngtalk 16:57, 28 September 2012 (EDT)
Then, why do SmashWikia has it??? The Awesome 17:21, 28 September 2012 (EDT)
Because SmashWikia is a separate site to SmashWiki, and we are no longer associated to SmashWikia. Yes, we used to be them, but after we have shed the shell that was Wikia, we don't have to follow their ways of thinking, and thusly we made our own ruleset which bans the creation of articles such as Super Smash Flash. Recreating this page

While SmashWiki is not fanon, I'd say the Super Smash Flash series is notable enough to have its own page. Unlike some modifications we already have pages for, notable gaming sites such as Polygon have covered the series. Heck, Wikipedia has its own page on the series, something that not even Brawl Minus has. The community also seems to regard it as fairly important, with news on SSF2 usually making the front page on r/smashbros and is covered on SmashBoards, both via the News section and an extremely large thread. The original game was also played millions of times on Newgrounds alone iirc. As such, the Super Smash Flash series is at least more well-known and relevant to the Smash fanbase than most modifications we cover on here. Thoughts? I know I am well into unpopular territory here with my opinion, but if the goal is consistency I'd much rather have a massive reduction of our coverage of mods than have a Smash Flash page again. Miles (talk) 18:14, 31 August 2015 (EDT)
That's fair enough, but I'd say that Smash Flash is the second-or-third most notable fangame/mod (behind Project M and maybe Brawl-). So, if we keep any modification pages, we should probably have a Super Smash Flash series page as well. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 18:23, 31 August 2015 (EDT)
Just like Smashified, we don't want a massive influx of pages we don't want, and we don't want pages that let the foot in the door for pages we don't want, not mention that the notability criteria of fan-made content is highly ambiguous, with conclusions of the matter being left to mere consensus.
