Plus and minus signs?

When I make some changes to this wiki, it shows plus and minus signs with numbers. I'm assuming these are some form of likes or dislikes but I'm not sure. If they are how do I like or dislike? Please help!

Those are the number of bytes that have been added or removed from the page. For example, say I was to remove the word "to" from a page. That would be a minor edit and would show as (-2) on the recent changes because I've removed two bytes. --Timson622222 (talk) 01:21, 13 November 2013 (EST)
