Pound 3 was the tournament where Mango gained worldwide recognition, as he tore through the losers bracket, defeating Cactuar, Forward, Azen, Chu Dat, Cort, PC Chris, and finally Mew2King in grand finals to win his first national. As a result of Mango's performance in this tournament and other nationals at the time, Jigglypuff had largely risen on the ninth Melee tier list.
