Feedback on your Chaos cheating scandal article
Hi there, I wanted to provide some feedback for some potential improvements on your recent article creation. Overall, it's a very well detailed article; I was vaguely aware of the scandal through an AsumSaus video but definitely didn't know all the details. However there are some things I think you should update in order to make the article more well-written and match the SmashWiki manual of style.
*Background section: I feel there are some parts that make the article longer than it needs to be (like the trophy images + description, and the full competitive history of Pichu). For wikis it's preferable to link to other articles on the site instead of having to add in redundant sections every time the article subject is mentioned anywhere on the wiki. I also think the competitive history section should be added to the Pichu (SSBM)#In competitive play article instead. While we're at it I think you could also add something brief about hacking/modding as well.
*Manual of Style:
**For section titles, only the first word of the title should be capitalized (except for proper nouns).
**The opening paragraph only talks about allegations of cheating, but since the player got completely banned from tournaments, that should also be noted in the beginning of the article.
**SmashWiki no longer uses the term "top professional" anymore, would be better to change to "competitor" instead.
**"The Aftermath": When making claims of allegations, they should be as clear as possible, for example, saying "several tournament attendees raised allegations of cheating" instead of "it was considered likely that Chaos had been cheating."
*References: Would be nice to add links to the forums where people first raised concerns of cheating (as written in "The Aftermath" section) instead of just linking the YouTube video, though these might be lost to time.
Would appreciate if you could take the time to make these changes, and let me know if you need help with anything. Awesome Cardinal 2000 02:21, October 25, 2023 (EDT)

Your tier list

Why is Sheik so low? I'm genuinely curious. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Talk | Contribs) 13:26, 24 November 2015 (EST)

Sheik is only #9 on the list since she doesn't have the best ways to rack up damage (in my opinion) and I find that the other 8 characters above her are stronger in their best attributes (also in my opinion).

I have noticed that you have not edited anything but your userspace since October last year. Please start contributing to our main- and smasher-spaces again before continuing to update your userspace or you may be probated. Thanks! Serpent SKSig.png King 17:57, 8 April 2017 (EDT)

Serpent King,

I do apologize for the excessive userspace editing. I will find some time to update more public articles (e.g. character pages, smasher pages, etc.). Have a good day! Watashinoku1 (talk) 08:15, 22 April 2017 (EDT)

  • Background section: I feel there are some parts that make the article longer than it needs to be (like the trophy images + description, and the full competitive history of Pichu).
  • Manual of Style:
    • For section titles, only the first word of the title should be capitalized (except for proper nouns).
    • The opening paragraph only talks about allegations of cheating, but since the player got completely banned from tournaments, that should also be noted in the beginning of the article.
    • SmashWiki no longer uses the term "top professional" anymore, would be better to change to "competitor" instead.
    • "The Aftermath": When making claims of allegations, they should be as clear as possible, for example, saying "several tournament attendees raised allegations of cheating" instead of "it was considered likely that Chaos had been cheating."
  • References: Would be nice to add links to the forums where people first raised concerns of cheating (as written in "The Aftermath" section) instead of just linking the YouTube video, though these might be lost to time.

Would appreciate if you could take the time to make these changes, and let me know if you need help with anything. Awesome Cardinal 2000 02:21, October 25, 2023 (EDT)
