::Okay, the first thing you need to do is go to the page that has the unnecessary redirect. Let's say you just archived your talk page. If you click "discussion", it will send you to "Archive X". But if you look below the title, you'll see a message that says "redirected from (page's name)". What you need to do is click on that link, and simply delete everything. That's it! Try removing [[Walking speed|this]] redirect I recently created. No need to save.
