:::::No, because in the completed title screen, Nintendo gives CLEAR attribution to Monolith for the character. As such, Nintendo don't strictly own all the Copyright as their own entity (Ownership by proxy, in a way). Because of that, calling him Nintendo character isn't... accurate.
