With the release of ''Ultimate'', the Glitch series will switch its focus to that game, completely abandoning ''[[Smash 4]]''. The attendance for {{Trn|Glitch 6}} singles was noticeably larger compared to the previous five, with a staggering 551 attendees (a 429 increase from Glitch 5). There were two side events, both being completely unique to Ultimate: [[Squad Strike]] and Morph-Meter.

Squad Strike remained one of the two side events of the tournament and Morph-Meter was replaced with amiibo singles. This tournament was mainly themed around the [[Mario (universe)|Super Mario]] franchise: the "Minus World" part of its name was a reference to "World -1", a infamous glitch that appeared in ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' and its banner was themed after ''[[Super Mario World]]''.
