Triple Finish is the Pokémon Trainer 's Final Smash. It is the same regardless of the Pokémon that grabs the Smash Ball. The trainer brings out all three of his Pokémon. Charizard then uses Fire Blast, a large star-shaped flame, Squirtle uses Hydro Pump, a multi-directional spray of water, and Ivysaur uses Solar Beam, a narrow beam of concentrated light, to create a massive projectile. It does more damage to players which are closer to the Pokémon, where all three moves will hit at once. When an opponent is as close as posible, they take about 57% damage.
While using it, a text square (like the ones in Pokémon games, based on the ones from the 4th generation games) appears on the bottom of the scene, which states, "Take that! Triple Finish!", and later "It's super effective!". This may block parts of the screen and become a visual obstacle for players, similarly to the Mr. Resetti assist trophy. The text box blocks damage meters.
All three moves in the Final Smash are known for being very strong moves for their type.
