The Kirby Team is a team that is made up of Kirbies that appear in the single player mode of Super Smash Bros. and Adventure Mode of Super Smash Bros. Melee.
In Super Smash Bros., the player battles a total of eight Kirbies on the Dream Land stage. The Kirby team in SSB consists of Kirbies that already have the character's abilities. The Kirby team in SSB are also lighter, making them easier to KO. Defeating the Kirbyies in the order they appear (respecting the characters' order in the character select screen) results in achieving the Kirby Ranks bonus.
