Flat Zone is a small stage. As a result, getting a kill at low percentages is possible. In the middle of the stage there are numerous lines that you can jump on. The lines will keep vanishing and reappear while you fight. One the far right of the screen, there is a house you can stand on. Once in a while a guy from the house will come and dump oil on the ground. If your character stands on the oil, he/she will start to slip. Only the [[Ice Climbers]] have good traction on the oil. Once in a while tools will fall down from the top of the screen. If you come in contact with a tool, it will give you damage, sometimes killing you even at low percentages.
