Merge.png It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with Mario Kart.
The reason given for the merge is: stickers are too unimportant to have entire arcticles. Especially when the subject itself has no major importance to the series.. (Discuss)

Not to be confused with the Banana Peel item and the Banana Peel move.

Banana is an item in Mario Kart DS, which also appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a sticker.

In Mario Kart DS

In Mario Kart DS, Banana is an item which can be left on the course or thrown forward as any other normal item. When one drives into a Banana, he/she will spin around and lose speed. Bananas seem to come out of item boxes more often when having a good position, and can also appear as a triple banana item. Triple Bananas, when fired, are dragged behind the kart. They can be then freed one by one by pressing the weapon button.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Appears as a sticker.
