| The story follows the Greil Mercenaries, a band of Mercenaries who have a past with Greil and are like an extended family to Ike, the game's hero. Ike is the main character for the game, and must survive every chapter or you game over. You follow them at the start of Daein's attack on Crimea, leading eventually to Ike becoming general of three Armies to stop the Mad King Ashnard from taking over the continent.
