Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (ファイアーエムブレム 蒼炎の軌跡, Faiā Emuburemu: Sōen no Kiseki) is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube video game console.

It is the ninth Fire Emblem series title, and the third Fire Emblem series title to be released in North America. It was the first Fire Emblem series title to feature voice acting as well as being the first title to be rendered in a three-dimensional, cel-shaded manner. It is also the first Fire Emblem game to be released for a home console in North America, Australia and Europe. The game stars Ike, who is one of the most powerful lords in the series history, on par with Sigurd from Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu (Fourth game in the series).

The story follows the Greil Mercenaries, a band of Mercenaries who have a past with Greil and are like an extended family to Ike, the game's hero. Ike is the 'lord' character for the game, while not a Lord in starting class (which is the standard set up until this point) he must survive every chapter or you game over. You follow them at the start of Daein's attack on Crimea, leading eventually to Ike becoming general of three Armies to stop the Mad King Ashnard from taking over the continent.

The other main character is Princess Elincia, the secret daughter of the dead Crimean King and Queen. She becomes your Third Pegasus unit (with the class of Princess) late in the game and is only used for three chapters late in the game. During those few chapters if she dies you also will Game Over. Ike has sworn to protect her at all cost when they meet up early in the game. She has her own unique (and unbreakable) weapon, Amiti, while not as strong as Ike's Ragnell, it does attack twice like a Brave Sword. Her other weapon type is Healing Staves, which for a flying unit is entirely unique. Mist, Ike's sister, also uses a Sword and Staves weapon set (she's a Valkyrie - Horseback unit) which is a combination we haven't seen from Fire Emblem since Thracia 776 (Fifth game).

In "Super Smash Bros Brawl"
The game's main character, Ike will be appearing as a playable character, as well as a Trophy (for beating Classic Mode) and a sticker.
In addition King Ashnard and the Black Knight are Trophies and Stickers. Mist and Greil, Ike's sister and father respectively, also appear as stickers.

Its worth noting that when Sakurai was posting when ideas caught his interest, Mia, Soren, and the Black Knight were under review for being playable characters in Brawl as well as Ike.
