- Bombs and Boomerang are excellent projectiles that can disrupt and continue combos
- Can combo characters fairly well
- Huge grab range and little startup time for the hookshot
- Has powerful smash and aerial attaks
- Good edgeguarder that can utilize projectiles, aerials, tilts, and smashes to keep opponents away.
- Up-B can be a good finisher and edgeguarding tool.
- Can recover via bombs and Hookshot to keep him alive longer.
- Decent matchups overall.
