Hey PoD, why do you say "less is more" on userpages? I can understand sig minimalism, but why not allow your userpage to be all the info you want about Smash? Not offended in the least, just curious :) (as soon as you see mine, you'll see I'm guilty of this very thing). :One of the jobs I've had over the years involved summarizing reports for a law firm, and I think that ingrained me with an appreciation of minimalism, specifically the art of expressing yourself fully as concisely as possible. To put it simply, if you include all the available information, you dilute the most important stuff, so either someone will be distracted by fluff and won't see the important information that you actually really wanted them to see, or they'll look at the page and go "jeez this is long, I can't be bothered to read it now, maybe later", and then they never do, so what's the point in even putting anything down if no one reads any of it? My userpage actually has four different messages, and it changes every day. Also the text "less is more" is a link to the Wikipedia article on minimalism, which everyone should read. ::Ah, thanks for sharing. There's a lot of truth to what you're saying. Yes, I have read the page on minimalism before. It's fascinating stuff, and a big reason I'm actually a fan of Microsoft's newest design language, especially evident in Windows Phone. Have you looked into it?
