On links you can put text after the closing square brackets to add to the link. For example <nowiki>[[KO|KOs]] can be shortened to [[KO]]s</nowiki> and get the same result (punctuation doesn't work sadly). Also if you want to link to a fighter's move you can use {{t|mvsub}} to simplify it.
