Mexico is a country located in North America. For competitive Smash purposes, it is often further split into 9 regions:

• Baja California, which consists of Baja California and Baja California Sur
• Central Mexico, which consists of México and Mexico City
• East Mexico, which consists of Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala, and Veracruz
• North Central Mexico, which consists of Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas
• Northeast Mexico, which consists of Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas
• Northwest Mexico, which consists of Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, and Sonora
• South Mexico, which consists of Chiapas, Guerrero, Morelos, and Oaxaca
• West Mexico, which consists of Colima, Jalisco, Michoacán, and Nayarit
• Yucatán Peninsula, which consists of Campeche, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, and Yucatán
