Captain Toad is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream.

Moveset[edit]

Neutral Attacks[edit]

Throws[edit]

  • Forward Throw - Captain Toad swings his pickaxe forwards.
  • Back Throw - Cap. Toad throws backwards.

Special Attacks[edit]

  • Neutral Special: Backpack - Captain Toad grabs a random item from his backpack and throws it immediately. Always deals 8% damage, and has an amazing range. However, here's where things get complicated. Every time Captain Toad uses this move, his backpack gets lighter, resulting in him becoming quicker at the cost of not dealing nearly as much damage as before with his smash attacks, becoming half as strong as regular Toad's at the lightest weight. The only way to regain weight in the backpack is to get K.O'd.
  • Side Special: Flashlight - By using the light on his forehead, Captain Toad stuns anyone in front of him, leaving them wide open for deadly attacks. Can be charged for slightly longer stun-time and range. Deals 2% damage
  • Up Special: Ladder - A ladder appears in front of Captain Toad. If you press up, he will climb on it, however, it only has three uses.
  • Down Special: Diamond Throw - Captain Toad finds a Diamond that can be thrown at enemies like Peach's turnips. However, when the diamonds hit an enemy, they break in similar fashion to Charizard's Rock Smash, hitting the enemy multiple times. Deals 18% damage if all the diamond shards hit, but has terrible knockback.

Final Smash[edit]

  • Super Pickaxe - Captain Toad grabs the Super Pickaxe from his backpack and swings it downwards uncontrollably. It has the same functions as the Hammer, except lower knockback. The final dmash lasts for 15 seconds.

On-Screen Appearance[edit]

  • A Toad Bridgade flies on-screen and Captain Toad lands on the battlefield before the Bridgade leaves.
