Lin (リン, Lyn) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream.

When Lin is present in a fight, Tatsu will appear in the background of the stage spectating, not unlike the Pokemon Trainer. This is a reference to how he joins the party if Lin does the same. He reacts to situations such as Lin KOing an opponent, or if she takes damage. If all of Lin's lives are depleted, Tatsu will hold his head down in sadness.

Moveset[edit]

Throws[edit]

  • Pummel - Lin slaps the opponent.
  • Forward Throw - Lin briefly lets the opponent go and rams them with her shield.

Special[edit]

  • Neutral Special: Fire Carnival - Lin shoots the opponent with her gatling gun. Can fire up to 5 at a time. Each shot does decent damage, but has significant lag at both the start up and end.
    • Neutral Special custom 1: Burst Shell - Lin fires a single, chargeable shot that deals higher damage and knockback.
    • Neutral Special custom 2: Flare Spray - Shots are weaker and don't stun, but can be continued by holding down B.
  • Up Special: Bombardier - Lin launches herself into the air at a slight angle with an explosive charge from her shield. If used on the ground, it causes a shockwave which damages and launches opponents near Lin. If used in the air, the blast from the shield can be used to meteor smash opponents underneath Lin.
    • Up Special custom 1: Bombardier Catalyst - Deals more damage, but Lin travels a shorter distance.
    • Up Special custom 2: Hop Burst - Deals no damage, but launches Lin higher.
  • Side Special: Wild Down
  • Down Special: Iron Prison - Lin slams her shield down in front of her, deflecting projectiles. Functionally similar to Pit's Mirror Shield in Brawl. Deals a small amount of damage to opponents if they happen to be close to Lin when she uses it.

Final Smash[edit]

  • Overdrive - Lin yells "Let's get cooking!" and jumps into her Skell, which then flies offscreen. The camera then changes to an over-the-shoulder view of Lin inside her Skell. She proceeds to shoot her opponent(s) with a barrage of bullets aimed with a crosshair. After 15 seconds have passed, or she has fired at the opponent 5 times, the Final Smash ends. This move is very similar in function to Snake's Grenade Launcher and Zero Suit Samus' Gunship.

On-Screen Appearance[edit]

  • A Skell flies by, and both Lin and Tatsu jump out.

Alternate Costumes[edit]

  • White - Default.
  • Red - Based on Elma's color scheme.
  • Purple - Based on Irina's color scheme.
  • Yellow - Based on Mia's color scheme.
  • Blue - Based on L's color scheme.
  • Green - Based on Tatsu's color scheme. Tatsu's color scheme changes to resemble Lin's.
  • Orange - Based on Reyn from Xenoblade Chronicles. Tatsu's color scheme changes to resemble Riki's.
