The Ultimate Underground, sometimes shortened to Ultimate Underground, is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles tournament series that takes place at the Subterranean Coffee café in North Park, California. The tournament was created and ran by tournament organizers brentinoo, BeezyB and their esports team, San Diego Gaming. The Ultimate Underground happens biweekly on Wednesday evenings, but is susceptible to hiatuses due to the tournament organizers being busy with other endeavors. The tournament formerly began with Round Robin pools, but currently only has a standard double elimination bracket. The Ultimate Underground also has a resurrection bracket reserved for any player who did not make it to top 8 of the main bracket.
