I'm putting the finishing touches on the above, which updates this template's layout table to an HTML blockquote. This will result in faster client-side rendering (around 6 elements instead of 10), better accessibility, and (hopefully) better search engine parsing, too.
There's a complication with the Minerva skin, however, because Minerva adds its own dark gray curly quotes, large serif typeface, and other flourishes to blockquotes. (examples) I'm guessing everyone would prefer to keep this template looking the same (edit MediaWiki:Mobile.css to override Minerva for this template)? Or I could switch it to the Minerva style, instead, if that's preferred? (I don't mind either way.) ライケン (talk) 22:26, 17 June 2016 (EDT)
