Palouse Gaming is an independent E-sports organization primarily headquartered in Pullman, Washington. Palouse Gaming has hosted the largest events within the Palouse region of the United States, which includes significant portions of southeastern Washington and northern Idaho. Founded in 2014 as Palouse Smash and naturally focusing on the Super Smash Bros. series, the organization has since expanded to encompass many other competitive games, even those not considered video games. Palouse Gaming has held long affiliations with the local school districts, as many of their staff and competitors are enrolled students in, or are recent graduates from, the Pullman-based Washington State University or the University of Idaho in the neighboring city of Moscow, Idaho. While their events and viewership are relatively small by virtue of being stationed in a geographically isolated area of the country, they have gradually grown during the 2020s and have attracted several high profile competitors from outside the region.
