El Chocolate Diablo is the name of the widely assumed best doubles team in SSBM. The team is compromised of Ken Hoang - considered the best player in the world and also the best Marth, and Isai Alvarado - considered the best Captain Falcon user, the best SSB player (Pikachu), and the 7th best Melee player in the country, in addition to being the most skilled player in the NorCal region (see Power Rankings).

El Chocolate Diablo was a Super Smash Bros. Melee doubles team between 2003 and 2007. Consisting of top Marth main Ken and top Captain Falcon main Isai, El Chocolate Diablo won 25 of the 28 tournaments they entered. Ken usually played Marth while occasionally countering with Fox, while Isai played Captain Falcon or Sheik.

El Chocolate Diablo first entered and won Tournament Go 5 in August 2003. The duo continued their tournament winning streak through many MLG events in 2005 and 2006. Ken and Isai suffered very few set losses, with their first occurring in the grand finals of 2006's Champ Combo: NorCal Edition at the hands of Taj and Forward; El Chocolate Diablo eventually won the reset and the tournament. Ken and Isai also lost to the team of PC Chris and Wes in winners' finals at MLG New York Opener 2006, but they still won both sets of grand finals to win the tournament. Zero Challenge 2 was one of the few majors in which Ken and Isai did not team with each other; Isai partnered with Captain Jack and got 1st, while Ken played with Rob$ and finished 7th.
*Ken usually uses Marth or Fox.

*Isai often plays Sheik in doubles matches instead of Captain Falcon.
As time passed, El Chocolate Diablo began to lose their dominance. The team failed to win a tournament for the first time at MLG Chicago 2006, losing to Mew2King and KoreanDJ in winners' semis and Azen and Chillin in grand finals. They also lost to Mango and Lucky as well as SilentSpectre and Tang at Super Champ Combo in 2007. El Chocolate Diablo became inactive soon after, with both Ken and Isai choosing to retire from competitive Melee in late 2007. Ken became active in Melee again around 2014, and Isai continues to play Smash 64.
*This team has won nearly every major doubles tournament they have entered, with the exception of a matchup against Azen Zagenite and Chillindude829. However, the next time the two teams faced off, El Chocolate Diablo regained their title.
