Dark Link is something like a costume for link rather than a totally different character. It has the same moves and graphics (I mean movement, shape and attacks rather than colours), I highly doubt that melee programmers put dark link as a character and not as a custom for link and therefore waste memory . --NOT Zinnamon (talk) 20:07, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

You know how, in team matches, when multiple members of the same team are the same character, the shading is different? Completely black is the shading that the 4th player has if all players are same team, same character (through name entry glitch). Therefore, Dark Link is a link purposely set to have this type of shading.<font color="red">Pokémon</font><font color="blue">ultimate</font> Do a Barrel Roll! 22:45, 6 December 2011 (EST)
