It was suggested that this be renamed from "Flinchless" to "Hitlag (effect)". I think it'd be a good idea to rename it, however I think "Stop (effect)" would be better. During hitlag you're able to SDI but with this effect (at least in Smash 4) you cannot SDI. "Hitlag (effect)" can create confusion between the it and hitlag, similar to the confusion caused by "Flinchless" being used for this effect and the hitbox flag for windboxes. "Stop" as a name is more clear on how the effect affects targets and would realistically only get confused with the "Stop" CPU action, which is so far removed from the aforementioned hitbox properties/behaviors that they're unlikely to be misconstrued for each other. "Stop" is also simply the name used in Ultimate's files. --[[User:CanvasK|CanvasK]] ([[User talk:CanvasK|talk]]) 13:37, June 1, 2025 (EDT)

:Yeah, admittedly I used the name "hitlag (effect)" because it looked like it was just triggering normal hitlag but without the knockback, but according to the page it actually calculates the hitlag effect differently, and it also functions differently to normal hitlag as well, so I guess another name should be picked. "Stop" works just fine, though I think "pause" could work as well. I just really don't like the name "flinchless" being applied in such an unintuitive way.
