Most of the opponents encountered in Snake's Classic Mode route seem to be analogous to other Metal Gear characters. The Inklings reference Laughing Octopus from Metal Gear Solid 4 (both are based on similar types of animals), Diddy Kong references the Snake vs Monkey minigame from Metal Gear Solid 3, Link references The Fear (a bow user who is fought in a jungle) from Metal Gear Solid 3, and the two Samuses are likely a reference to the soldiers who wear powered suits in Metal Gear Solid 4. I've gone ahead and added the aforementioned references, but I couldn't think of anything for Pit or the two ROBs. Does anyone know what they might be referencing?
