Keep: When I first came to SmashWiki I probably would've put a delete tag on this article myself, but since doing so, I've been surprised at how pervasive the nickname really is, with players all across Canada and down into some of the northern states like Pennsylvania, Virginia, Idaho, etc. When I went to TransCanada to meet and network with a variety of community players, it was actually quite remarkable how well the name had stuck within smaller communities. Ultimately, it doesn't bother me if the article exists or not, but to delete it when there's piles and piles of more important work to be done is just unnecessary policing of an unwritten policy; as Janitor pointed out, johns came into use similarly and to enforce the unwritten policy on this article and not that one is a needless double standard. There's something to be said for the character and lifeblood of the global smash community when certain bits of unofficial lingo catch on like that. It represent a unique wholeness of common interest that I feel deserves to be documented, and like I said, there's just :Category:Cleanup|bigger fish to fry. -- <font color="000023">RJM</font> Talk 06:33, October 16, 2007 (EDT)

:That argument alone would be counted as valid enough for me to vote keep... And I would like to note something else about SmashWiki: I don't think this is a Wikia wiki, this is more like an independent wiki, so some "rules" here are differently handled than over at Wikipedia. It's totally fine for an independent Wiki to have articles on players that comprise the starring game's community, and thus this nickname for a stage element is not against any rules that I'm aware of. And fortunately all these articles don't get in the way at all of my editing canon articles like the Universes and the fighter pages anyway, so this page's harmless. :) Erik the Appreciator 14:10, October 16, 2007 (EDT)
