==How Summons Work==
Judging from what we've seen of gameplay footage and screenshots on the stage, it's a bit obvious how summons work on the stage. It appears that Summon Materia (red orb items from Final Fantasy VII that allow for summons) fly into the stage at certain intervals and can be collected by one of the players to summon whichever summon may come. It's most likely going to be similar to Poké Balls in the regard that all Summon Materia look the same as one another, yet the summon you get from it is random. I'd also say that, though speculatively, that Bahamut ZERO will be a rarer find than the other summons judging from the emphasis put on him in the Cloud trailer as well as just how destructive his Terra Flare attack is. I've done a few tests of the 3DS stage in my spare time and noticed that the handheld version of Midgar only cycles between two of the five summons per match. Would anyone else be interested in testing and corroborating this bit of information? I think it'd be a nice addition to the Trivia section.
