After having tagged Gold Fighter/Character gallery for deletion on the grounds that it was unnecessary, I had it pointed out to me that we also have this gallery of all the fighters in their metal form. As with the gold fighters gallery, I have tagged this page for deletion, and since this was the article created first I think this is where I should make the case for its deletion. Simply put, there is nothing of value, either informatively or of interest, about having a gallery with an image of every single fighter in their metal form. As is stated in [[SW:NOT]] "SmashWiki uploads a few sets of assets for use on our wiki (such as head icons, alt pallets, victory themes, etc), as well as oddities or interesting sprites and sound clips (such as unused content), but it is not to contain every asset in the game". Palette swaps are an example of a good exception to this policy, as they are unique to every fighter, they often contain references or easter eggs, and they are commonly used in competitive play, even being a part of many smashers' identities. As such, having a collection of all of them is both informative and interesting. Unlike palette swaps however, metal forms are entirely homogenous, in the sense that every character's model is affected in exactly the same way, simply replacing all textures with the metal texture. All that is necessary to provide information about the nature of the effect is perhaps one or two images from each game only, as once you have seen one metal fighter, you have essentially seen them all. There are also no other interesting or unique features of specific metal fighters other than metal Mario appearing in games outside the Smash Bros. series, and there is no tournament legal representation of metal fighters in competitive play, so this case cannot be made for this gallery being kept either. Finally, having a gallery such as this one puts us in a situation in which we are either being inconsistent with our treatment of statuses, or in which we should have to make a gallery for every status condition, including giant, frozen, flowered etc. in the name of consistency.

For the reasons outlined above, I believe that this gallery, along with the gold fighters gallery, should be deleted.
