:It's really just a boring connection between two completely unrelated characters. You could draw the same type of comparison between Kirby and Peach (two characters who are represented by pink), Kirby and Wario (two characters with a neutral special that involves their mouth), Jigglypuff and King Dedede (two characters with multiple jumps), etc. It would be a little more interesting if maybe both events featured Kirby, or a Kirby character, or maybe even a character created by Sakurai (like Kirby and Pit).
