Also, comparing a SNES sprite to a fully rendered model is bad form, considering the limitations of the SNES sprite does not allow it to look exactly like the model does. 

:::Plus, regarding your colorblind comment, consider the proverb "if you think everyone else is the problem, you are likely the problem". I.e., everyone else is seeing the SNES sprite as more purple, you are the one who is having difficulty recognising colors, especially when BoF already proved it was more purple.

The monochrome Kirby and promotional Mario art note fall into the above. We just need to mention the original thing it's based off of, we don't need to go on a tangent and mention other things it appeared .

Now for the individual ones that are not true:

Here's [[:file:Olimar Palette (SSBB).png|black Olimar]] and the [http://www.pikminwiki.com/images/thumb/e/e0/President2.jpg/200px-President2.jpg Pikmin] [[:file:The President - Brawl Trophy.png|President]]. There is no clear resemblance here whatsoever. The President's suit is all black, while Olimar's clearly a dark yellow with black gloves/boots. The President additionally does not have a darken helmet, and the President has distinct blue buttons while Olimar has nothing on his suit resembling it. Now to compare it to a clear resemblence, compare Olimar's blue outfit to [[:file:Louie - Brawl Trophy.png|Louie's]], and Olimar has the same color suit, with the distinct blue gloves. So yeah, it is false to say Olimar's black outfit resembles the President.

Now for blue Charizard. It says his blue color resembles his shiny from Gen 2. Compare [[:File:Pokémon Trainer Palette (SSBB).png|this]] to [http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/6/69/Spr_2g_006_s.png this]. The gen 2 shiny is clearly a solid purple, it is not a blue tint like the "blue" Charizard has in Brawl. Additionally, the gen 2 shiny has a green coloration under his wings, while the blue Charizard has a dark blue. So again, this is another falsehood, it's a tremendous stretch to say this is supposed to be a resemblance, especially when blue Charizard is filling a generic team color and fits in with Charizard's other palette theme of tinging him with the supposed color.

Now for white Charizard. It says it resembles the shiny of his preevolutions. Compare it to [http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/0/0e/Spr_4d_004_s.png this] and [http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/db/Spr_4d_005_s.png this]. The white palette simply tinges Charizard with a dull white. The shinies on the other hand, are a clear golden bright yellow. Saying this is a resemblance is a big stretch, and is not at all obvious.

Now for blue Squirtle. It says it resembles his Pokemon Yellow coloration. Compare it to [http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/e/e2/Spr_1y_007.png this]. It has the blue shell, but that's it. The Yellow sprite has the same light blue skin, while blue Squirtle is clearly a darker blue. Blue Squirtle has yellow on its shell edges, while Yellow sprite has white. The same color shell is clearly just a coincidence, especially when Squirtle's other palettes changes his shell color to match the palette color. 

Now Miles, how about you actually compare them yourself when I said they were falsehoods, before just reverting me? Or you know, actually bring it up on the talkpage for once instead just reverting? Changing color names manually messes up the stock icon placements. There should be a way to do that without messing them up.

== Orange Wario Biker ==

It might be stretching out but the closest thing to fit this color scheme that i have found is the [https://mario.wiki.gallery/images/8/8f/WL4_Screenshot_Wario_Truck.png Wario Truck] that can be seen after completing ''Wario Land 4'' Hard mode.

:In retrospective this could be a possibility as ''New Super Mario Bros.'' was a relatively recent game (one of Mario taunts is based of the level clear animation) but also is not that acurate as most of Bowser's scales are a dark gray while the shell is white, which is the opposite of what [https://www.mariowiki.com/File:Dry_Bowser_Artwork.png Dry Bowser's] look have, plus, the cuffs? are dark red, something that this costume does not have. == EarthBound/Mother Series: any thoughts on this? ==

This a bit of my thoughts about some of the alt. colors for both characters of the ''Mother'' series.

NESS

The Blue alt. also could be added his [https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/earthbound/sheet/104953/ pajamas] as they are also the same colors as his younger self (plus stripes). Another possible inspiration or nod for blue with purple in this alt. are the [https://earthbound.fandom.com/wiki/Happy_Happyism Happy Happyist cult], a cult that created a religion around the color blue, and while they do paint stuff color blue (this [https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/earthbound/images/7/72/Happy_Happy_Village_under_Happy_Happyism.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20160122070348 houses] and this [https://public.csusm.edu/EarthBound/bluecoweb.jpg cow] for example), the sprite of the Insane Cultists sprites (and even the roof of the houses, I just noticed) are color purple. Are they important? kind of, after all, they were influenced by Pokey/Porky and Gygas to kidnap Paula, Ness, yet-to-be party member.

For somtheing new, the Purple alt. could be inspired by [https://earthbound.fandom.com/wiki/Picky_Minch?so=search Picky Minch], Pokey/Porky's little bother. Is he important? Well besides being the little brother of a villan in the making, at the start of the game he gets lost after the meteorite crash. After finding him, Buzz-Buzz appears from the meteorite stating the prophecy that Ness and 3 friends (2 male, 1 female) will save the world from Gygas putting in march the adventure. After it, Picky is the only one to be at home (Ness neightbor) and keeps being nice to him, he even appears after the game ends to give Ness a letter from Pokey/Porky. Also his sprite shows the letter "M", where the "Mr. Saturn" sprite is (oh!).

LUCAS

The Red alt. might be inspired by the two types of zombies encountered by Duster in Chapter 2 of ''Mother 3'', the [https://earthbound.fandom.com/wiki/Zombie_Lady Zombie Lady] (resembling [https://earthbound.fandom.com/wiki/Hinawa Hinawa], Lucas and Claus mother) and [https://earthbound.fandom.com/wiki/Zombie_Man Zombie Man] (resembling Claus), for the latter, the pants of this type are similarly close to the teal color that this alt. have, on the other hand the Zombie Lady wears a red dress, similar to this alt. shirt. Story wise they appear before Duster in Chapter 2 in a group, by the end of Chapter 1 both Hinawa and Claus are considered dead, and this zombies kind of taunt Duster because they (Hinawa and Claus) are dead and Duster is not. If this is true, it have been carried over to ''Smash 4'' and ''Ultimate''.

The Green alt. could still be the one in ''Smash 4'' and ''Ultimate'' but without the Boney print and kept the orange stripes (or rather, appeared here and reworked to only feature a set of stripes on the sleeves and put Boney's print). To quote: "''Resembles Boney's human disguise from Mother 3''".

The Purple alt. could loosely resemble another duo of enemies in ''Mother 3'', there is an enemy named Li'l Big Bro (color green) and another called Big Bro (either color pink or light violet), which later can be encountered as [https://earthbound.fandom.com/wiki/Bro_Team Bro Team], having Big Bro standing on top of Li'l Big Bro, aka green pants, and pink on top. I think this is a possible color in nod of the sibling relationship between Lucas and Claus (the Masked Man) in ''Mother 3''. On a side note, Big Bro knows PSI Fire and PSI Freeze (PSI=PK), which Big Bro can use as they can attack twice; which are also both PSI moves that Lucas uses in ''Smash Bros.'' .
