==Overview==
The background of the stage has an image of a coffee shop, hence its various nicknames. The platforms are all gray polygons and come in different sizes, with no textures. Some of these platforms are immobile, while others move vertically. The stage is very wide and is among the longest stages in the game. [[Corneria]]'s stage music plays on this level, and it does not have an alternate track.

The identity of the café used for the background was unknown for many years, with players often speculating it was a bar that Nintendo or Hal Laboratory employees frequented during ''Melee's'' development. In reality, the image depicts a scene in the now-closed Caffe <!--Do not remove the extra F, it's legitimately part of its name -->Verona<ref>http://www.pauldebevec.com/ReflectionMapping/</ref> in {{s|wikipedia|Palo Alto, California}}. While highly unusual for the game, the image is a common test image used for testing 3D graphics. Captured with a {{s|wikipedia|fisheye lens}} camera in 1993, the image was initially intended for use as a test image for applying textures to spheres and other models; however, its use spread to a number of other applications, such as [http://glprogramming.com/red/appendixi.html exercises] in {{s|wikipedia|OpenGL}} textbooks.

According to Game Theory's research, the coffee shop in the background is actually Caffe Verona in Palo Alto, California, Which was shutdown 3 years after Super Smash Bros. Melee's release.
