Smasher talk:Abbe

They have officially changed their tag to Abbe https://twitter.com/AbbeSSBM/status/1502392702280814600

what are the steps that I am allowed to do to move people? I have wiki edited before but I don't want to upset anyone at smashwiki by doing something without express permission/rules Squeachu (talk) 15:42, March 18, 2022 (EDT)

Under the gearbox there is a move tab. Once the page is moved you can change the smashers tags in the infobox and paragraph. And put the old tag as an alias in the infobox. If there was already a player page at Abbe (there isnt) you would just need to move it to Abbe (location). Final thing is to just make sure that there aren't any pages that link to the new title that shouldn't and if there are changes where those pages Link to. Wiifitkid (talk) 15:53, March 18, 2022 (EDT)
The gearbox is a mobile thing, I think. On desktop the "move" tab is between "history" and "watch". Other than that everything should be the same. --CanvasK (talk) 16:57, March 18, 2022 (EDT)
When I'm editing the talk:Abbearv page such as here, I can see the move tag. But I don't see that for the main page when I'm editing it or outside of it. It could be the case that I don't actually have permission to do this as I'm barely an autoconfirmed user (I have a habit of not making summaries for edits even though I should), Is this the case? is there some sort of thing I need to do to get this power or am I just utterly blind? I'm on desktop Squeachu (talk) 17:12, March 18, 2022 (EDT)
The tabs should look like this, you don't see the "move" tab on your end? If you don't see the tab, then I guess one of us can move it in the meantime. Edit summaries don't matter for autoconfirmed, only time and edits, both of which you easily have. After that would be "established" but I don't think that would be required to move this page. --CanvasK (talk) 17:42, March 18, 2022 (EDT)
I don't have those tabs, curious as to what it was, I've given myself access to the page anyway. It says the following:

Permission error From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki Jump to navigationJump to search You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reason:

You are not allowed to execute the action you have requested. Squeachu (talk) 18:41, March 18, 2022 (EDT)

Just verified on the autoconfirmed users page that I am not able to move pages as I am not established. I imagine I will make over 100 edits soon enough but for now could someone please move this page!! ty ^_^ Squeachu (talk) 18:47, March 18, 2022 (EDT)
Huh, guess I misread the autoconfirm page. Guess the reason why you have the option to move the talk page is because you created it and that could fall under "Moving files and created pages". You are already halfway to established, just keep up the good work and you'll reach it in no time. I'll go ahead and move the page for you. --CanvasK (talk) 18:52, March 18, 2022 (EDT)
Thank you ! ^_^ Squeachu (talk) 19:20, March 18, 2022 (EDT)
