Following her victory over {{Sm|Ally}}, rachel stated she was considering either retiring or changing her tag due to unwanted attention from other players such as {{Sm|ZeRo}}, which had led to harassment from other players.<ref>{{cite web|url= https://twitter.com/lilyvgc/status/1146246491566161920?s=21|title=Bocchi’s announcement}}</ref> These players were criticized for their actions, especially following Ally's admission to having a relationship with CaptainZack.

A few weeks after the Ally win, {{Sm|Ryuga}} posted Tweets that showed screenshots of rachel and {{Sm|Stroder}} using the N-word multiple times in a [[Discord]] server. rachel quickly took to [[Twitter]] following this, claiming that she was not a racist and was simply an edgy teenager almost a year prior.
