The '''Mario Bros. team''' is a special team that consists of [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] that appears in  ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]''

The team consists of {{SSB|Mario}} and {{SSB|Luigi}} and are battled on [[Peach's Castle]]. The player and a random character must defeat both opponents in order to proceed to the next stage. This is Stage 4 of [[1P Game]]. 

The Mario Bros. team also appears in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' in [[Adventure Mode]]. If the player has unlocked Luigi, they will fight [[Metal Mario]] and [[Metal Luigi]] instead of their regular forms. This is on Stage 11 of ''Adventure'' and takes place on {{SSBM|Battlefield}}. If {{SSBM|Luigi}} has not been unlocked yet, then they will fight only Metal Mario. If the player manages to defeat both brothers, they will be rewarded the '''Metal Bros. KO''' bonus. 

The Mario Bros. team does not appear as a team in ''Melee{{'}}s'' {{SSBM|Classic Mode}} (despite their frequent appearance on [[1P Game]] from ''Super Smash Bros.'') since the team battles in Classic Mode are chosen at random. So they are not fought on Stage 2 of Classic. They do not appear in any of ''Melee{{'}}s'' 1 player modes (despite their usual appearance from ''Super Smash Bros.''); {{SSBM|Classic Mode}} or [[Adventure Mode]] (even not on Stage 1 of ''Adventure''). They don't appear in Classic nor Adventure despite their frequent appearance from the original game. They do appear in event matches; [[Event 31: Mario Bros. Madness]] and [[Event 38: Super Mario Bros. 2]] (with the addition of {{SSBM|Peach}}). 

They return in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' on {{SSBB|Classic Mode}} as a possible 2 vs. 2 opponent in the {{uv|Mario}} universe stage (making it their usual appearance in [[1P Game]] from ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]''); which is on Stage 8 of Classic Mode. The player will be teamed up with either {{SSBB|Peach}} or {{SSBB|Bowser}}. {{SSBB|Mario}} and {{SSBB|Luigi}} are able to appear as a random 2 vs. 2 opponent which is a reference to the Mario Bros. fight on ''1P Game'' from ''Smash 64''. They also appear in [[Event 19: Wario Bros.]] (where the player is {{SSBB|Wario}}) and [[Co-Op Event 8: All MINE!]] (where P1 is {{SSBB|Wario}} and P2 is {{SSBB|Bowser}}).

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Wii U]]'', the Mario Bros. are the characters the players play as in co-op events: [[A Lurking Menace]] and [[Wrecking Bros.]]. They also appear as opponents in the events: [[Family Ties]] and [[Solidarity]].

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'', the Mario Bros. are fought as a team in {{SSBU|Donkey Kong}}'s, {{SSBU|Ganondorf}}'s, {{SSBU|Toon Link}}'s (who are joined by {{SSBU|Peach}} and {{SSBU|Yoshi}}), and {{SSBU|Pac-Man}}'s (who are joined by {{SSBU|Donkey Kong}}) {{SSBU|Classic Mode}} routes. Only Donkey Kong and Toon Link are given allies (being {{SSBU|Diddy Kong}} and a pair of Toon Links respectively) while the others do not have allies. {{SSBU|Mr. Game & Watch}} also fights both Mario and Luigi in his Classic Mode route but as a Free-for-All rather than as a team. They also appear in MC Ballyhoo & Big Top's spirit battle along with Peach and Yoshi with all four fighters wearing their blue {{SSBU|alternate costume}}s.
