Completion of a goal may net the player gold, Spirit Points, spirits, or a costume/hat accessory. Each challenge comes with a picture as well, normally having something to do with said challenge.

**The picture of Cloud and Zelda in [[Tortimer Island]] references [[Aerith]]'s death from ''Final Fantasy VII'', specifically the scene where Cloud lays Aerith's body to rest in the waters of the Forgotten City. Coincidentally, the reason behind her death, [[Sephiroth]], was added into ''Ultimate'' two years later.
**The picture showing Ken and Yoshi with his back turned is a reference to the recurring ''Street Fighter'' character Akuma and his signature attack, the Shun Goku Satsu, or the Raging Demon in English.
