His [[Shield Breaker]] gains power the longer it's held. The [[Dancing Blade]] combination uses both the Control Stick and the B Button to produce a series of up to four attacks.

Marth's [[Dolphin Slash]] is fast and powerful, but it leaves him vulnerable upon landing. Marth uses [[Counter]] to block a foe's attack and deal a return strike. If you're fighting a Counter-happy Marth, grab him.

[[Blazer]] is a bit slower than Marth's Dolphin Slash, but it's still a mighty attack that sets anyone it strikes aflame. Roy's attack after using Counter differs slightly from Marth's.

==Trivia==
*More ''Fire Emblem'' trophies were planned to be included in the game, but they ultimately proved too complex to make compared to other trophies<ref> http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n01/n64/software/nus_p_nalj/smash/flash/syukeiken/return569.html</ref>. In the final game, the only two ''Fire Emblem'' trophies are those for Marth and Roy after completing Classic Mode with either character.
*Marth's Classic Mode trophy description falsely states that Akanea (Archanea in the North American remakes) destroyed Altea. Akanea merely controlled Altea for a period of time and is reclaimed by Marth near the end of ''Mystery of the Emblem''.
**This is a similar case to Marth's trophy in ''Brawl'', where the same thing happens.
*Roy's first appearance is listed simply as ''Fire Emblem'' rather than the name of his game in either English (''The Binding Blade'') or Japanese (''Fire Emblem: The Sword of Seal''). Ironically, ''The Blazing Blade'' which is a prequel to ''Binding Blade'' would be internationally released as simply ''Fire Emblem'' before spin-offs would establish its international subtitle.
