Forum:How about a weekly fun tourney?
I like to play every online mode in Smash for Wii U, and I think For Fun and For Glory are equally enjoyable... or at least they should be. But the thing about For Fun is that you don't always find people who are really worth playing with. Plus, I'd like to be able to try different rulesets, both for variety and because, well, who besides Sakurai actually thinks two minutes is a good match length?
So I want to see if I can get some people together to play Tourney mode. Rather than the apparently-common practice of setting up a months-long tourney and then never having players online at the same time, I'd like to hold a very short tourney each weekend, with different rules, items and stages each time. I'm thinking of making it something like 7-10pm UK time every Saturday, but I'm open to negotiation. Any of you fine folks interested in taking part? Zyrac(talk•contribs) 14:59, 28 January 2016 (EST)
- If only I had a Wii U... I guess Disaster Flare and me will be out of this one... :/ -- The 70's called. They said BeepYou was here :v (talk) 15:01, 28 January 2016 (EST)
Better bump this after the file edit spam. Anyone else interested? It'll only take a few people to get something going. I might also look for players elsewhere. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 16:31, 28 January 2016 (EST)
- I would be, but... You remember what happened last time. I'm not sure why it keeps happening, but I don't trust my connection. It won't be as much fun if it happens more than once. Neither for me, nor for the opponent. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 16:45, 28 January 2016 (EST)
- I'm not sure from your wording whether you know this, but it occurs to me I should make sure people are clear on it: the type of tourney we're talking about is a customised free-for-all room rather than a bracket or some such. It basically works the same as With Anyone. As such, connection problems partway through wouldn't be too big of a deal. Anyway, I'd encourage you to try and join, but yeah, if I don't see you I'll know why. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 17:04, 28 January 2016 (EST)
