'''Event Match 6: Kirbys on Parade''' is the sixth of the 51 [[Event mode|Event Matches]] in the Event mode of ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]''. It is an untimed stock match between your 1-stock character of choice and a team of three smaller-sized [[Kirby]]s, each with two stock, in the [[Dream Land: Fountain of Dreams]] stage.


The player controls a fighter of their choice and must win a [[stock]] match against a team of three tiny CPU {{SSBM|Kirby}}s on the [[Fountain of Dreams]] stage, where the player starts with 1 stock, while each Kirby starts with 2 stocks. The event match features no time limit. The CPU Kirbys' [[artificial intelligence]] is set at Level 8.
This is one of three event matches that take place on the Fountain of Dreams stage; the others are [[Event 15: Girl Power]] and [[Event 30: All-Star Match 3]] (the first of the four battles).


When the match starts, the player's fighter spawns on the leftmost soft platform, while the default Kirby spawns on the rightmost soft platform, the yellow Kirby spawns on the topmost soft platform, and the white Kirby spawns in the center of the main platform. The tiny CPU Kirbys are light, weak, and tend to avoid the player and use [[Final Cutter]] from afar; however, if the player's character comes to close to the Kirbys, they will attack erratically. This is because each of the Kirbys uses the '''FREAK''' [[Debug menu (SSBM)#CPU Modes|CPU mode]], which makes them to stay where they are, but attack when an opponent comes near.

After selecting Event 6 from the Event mode menu and selecting your character, the match begins with you playing against three weakened Kirbys in the Fountain of Dreams. Your character has one stock while all three Kirbys have two stock. The object of the match is to defeat all opponents.


==Names in other languages==
Despite what it may seem, this is not a hard Event Match because the Kirbys, already easy-to-KO opponents to begin with, are smaller and weaker than usual, so smash attacks on your part will often KO one of them. With one life on your side, however, choose and play your character carefully.

*This event match's Japanese name, "Story of the Fountain of Dreams" is derived from the sub-title for the Japanese name of ''{{s|wikirby|Kirby's Adventure}}'': ''Kirby of the Stars: The Story of the Fountain of Dreams''.
A couple strategies to efficiently defeat the multiple Kirbys are as follows: You can either use [[Fox McCloud]] to hoard them to an edge and use your Reflector (Down-B special move) to [[shinespike]] them all off the stage, or you can use [[Donkey Kong]]'s Hand Slap (Down-B special move) to take them out in one shot.
