The player controls {{SSBM|Luigi}} and must win a 3-minute, 1-[[stock]] match against a computer-controlled {{SSBM|Dr. Mario}} and a computer-controlled white {{SSBM|Peach}} on the [[Yoshi's Story]] stage. Both Dr. Mario's and Peach's [[artificial intelligence]] is set at Level 8.

When the match starts, Luigi will spawn on the leftmost soft platform, while Dr. Mario spawns on the rightmost soft platform and Peach spawns on the topmost platform.
