They challenge the player to defeat as many opponents as possible ([[Fighting Wire Frames]] in ''Melee'', [[Fighting Alloys]] in ''Brawl'', and [[Fighting Mii Team]] in ''Smash 4'') before falling from the [[stage]] or [[self-destruct]]ing. There is no time limit, nor is there a [[knock-out]] limit, unlike other Multi-Man modes, and as such can go on for an infinite amount of time. 

The high scores of Endless mode are recorded by how many opponents the player has knocked out, regardless of how long the session is.
