*The banner is based on the final scene of ''Brawl''{{'}}s [[The Subspace Emissary]], which is additionally featured at the start of its [[opening movie]], with only ''Brawl'' newcomers present.
*The [[Cracker Launcher]], [[Fan]], [[Spring]] and [[Team Healer]] are the only items in ''Brawl'' that did not appear in the tournament, due to the fact that they are not present in ''Ultimate''.
*Despite the fact that no fighters or stages debuting in ''Smash 64'' or ''Melee'' are available for the event, items from the aforementioned games are available for the event. A similar situation also happened in [[A Tribute to Melee]] and [[Free Four All]].
*The Pokémon Trainer himself is the only ''Brawl'' character who does not appear on the banner, though he is still represented by his three Pokémon.
*Due to being alternate costumes of the male Pokémon Trainer and Olimar, respectively, the female Pokémon Trainer and [[Alph]] are the only characters that are playable in this event without debuting in ''Brawl''. As a result, the latter is not playable in [[Free Four All]] and the former is not playable in [[Reawaken the Undying Light!]].
