Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules, Briefly

  1. You can only vote once.
  2. Vote under the name of the fighter you are voting for.
  3. When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted for that fighter, or you can just leave your signature.
  4. ALWAYS put # when you vote so it can help us count the votes!!
  5. ALWAYS put in your signature with ~~~~. This is required for both signed on users and anon users.
  6. Any comments about the fight should be left in the comments sections.
  7. If you wish to leave a comment in more than one section, do not edit each section individually.
  8. DON'T LEAVE A SPACE BETWEEN YOUR POST AND THE POSTS ABOVE AND BELOW YOURS!

  2. If this was Melee's hands, I would vote for Crazy Hand. But in Brawl, Master Hand is actually stronger and his hand exclusive attacks are vastly superior to Crazy Hand's exclusive attacks (Hand Swipe, Walking Hand, and Finger Missles > Hand Quake, Spider Hand, and Finger Bombs).   3. Here's one of the reasons I'm voting for Crazy Hand: what hand is the Gamecube and Classic Controller's D-pad closest to? And what do they do on the default controller settings? Ganondorf triumphed over Bowser 13-5 during the Round 25 Celebration - but now it's their Smash Ball-powered forms having a go. Beast Ganon is driven by the Triforce of Power and never backs down. Giga Bowser takes Bowser's natural evil instincts and gives them the ability to really let loose. Who will take this round?

The pair of items that are the launching pads for many an ally in battle are now going to pit their contents against one another. Will the various Assist Trophy denziens overcome their differences and triumph, or will the original multi-in-one item summon just the Pokémon needed to win the day?

  2. Lugia in Melee and Kyogre in Brawl are far better then any assist trophy is. There are also four pokemon that can OHKO in Brawl (Moltres, Suicune, Deoxys, and Electrode) compared to none for the assist trophies (Knuckle Joe can bring someone to death at 0%, but not in a single attack). Reduced from Classic Mode mobsters to Multi-Man Brawl punching bags, the Alloys aren't too happy about the R.O.B. Squad getting the nod as a mass-produced enemy in the Subspace Emissary. Will it be the numbers and fighting style of the computer-generated creatures or the drive and unflinchingness of the robotic army?

A single Quark Mine.
Top-of-the-line in the Subspace Army's range of nonsentient obstacles, both Jyks and Quark Mines are often placed in just the wrong places for the Smashers' liking. The question is, which one do they hate the least? The indestructable Jyks with three elemental varieties, or the exceedingly powerful Quark Mines that eventually appear everywhere?

These two part-green part-dragons have always been at odds with each other, even though they're not generally considered rivals alongside the more natural Mario-Bowser clash. That said, the Yoshis have beaten Bowser as a child a few times in the past, and now it's time for the primary Yoshi to take it to the big Koopa, one-on-one. Speed versus power! Dino versus turtle! Egg versus shell!

  6. I have developed some more respect for Yoshi over the past few months but Bowser was the first character I used in Melee and is one of my secondaries in Brawl.
